Force Terms&Conditions acceptance before taking Customer to PayPal

    Hi,

    I am using PayPal payments plugin everything seems to be set up correctly however I am facing issue with authentication of the order. Customers can go to PayPal payment gate without eneting order details (except email) and without accepting the terms&conditions.

    When the customers go through the payment procces the money is taken out of their PayPal balance but they do not get the prove of order. However on my side I do not see neither money on my paypal nor placed order in woocommerce.

    I found out latley that when the customers go through the order and payment procces again and thay to accept the Terms and conditions I do recieve 2 payments but onlu one order.

    Can you help me how to fix this issue?

    Hi @aisog,

    We are working to bring back the instant checkout validation, but it takes a bit more time. This behavior was changed as a temporary measure in version 1.6.2 to improve plugin compatibility and we hope to be able to revert the change for the update after the upcoming one.

    Anyway, unless the user accepts the terms and provides all required fields, no payment will be captured and it shouldn’t be possible for the user to be debited twice for the same order.
    If proceeding to PayPal without checking the terms, the payment may temporarily remain in a pre-authorized state. But the user should not be notified about this order and instead, clearly see an error message when returning to the checkout. If no capture action follows soon after, the pre-auth is automatically voided.
    While the current sequence is not ideal, it should not cause any major problems with payments.

    Hi! Is there any update to this issue?

    Our customers forget to check the Terms&Condition checkbox. Then they pay via paypal or sofort and wonder why payment failed when they come back to our page.

    This is such an important feature and we lose a lot of money due to this error. Paypal fees will raise again and plugin is not working good ??
