• I see this message “WooCommerce PayPal Payments Pro requires that the Force secure checkout option is enabled; your checkout may not be secure! Please enable SSL and ensure your server has a valid SSL certificate – PayPal Pro will only work in test mode.“, but our host (WPengine) has this function handled elsewhere and having that box checked caused issues previously. We force SSL in another way and we have SSL enabled on the checkout, but when we try to use this on the live site we only see a message saying that there are no payment options available in our state. I don’t know if I missed another setting somewhere, but I was hoping it was just going to look for ssl on teh page and not just that setting. Is there a way around having that box checked? We are trying to use both “Paypal Payments Pro 2.0” and “Paypal Express Checkout”, neither of which were showing on the checkout page. Any insight as to what I need to do? Thanks!

The force SSL option in WooCommerce shouldn’t be doing anything other than redirecting https:// traffic to https:// when it reaches the cart / checkout. So then if WP-Engine is allowing your site to run on https:// successfully then there really shouldn’t be any issue.

Can you give that another try, and if something fails at that point let me know what error you’re seeing?

I know we have lots of people using this plugin on sites hosted with WP Engine, and this is the first I’ve heard of this issue, which would surprising to me if this was a wide issue.

It very well could just be that site. It puts the site in a redirect loop and I don’t know why. It’s ok, I was able to modify two logic statements and it is running. It’s actually doing better than any previous PayPal plugins and provides more. The client is thrilled. Best PayPal plugins out there and replaced two other plugins for me.

    Glad to hear it! ??
