Force Login not responding

  • I installed the Force Login plug-in and it is not responding. I have switched themes from mine to 2019 and the have the same result. I tried re-saving the Permalink settings to force an update to your server cache, but that didn’t work. My host (WP-Engine), checked for errors and has found none. WP-Engine suggested I reach out to the developer and ask what cookie is being used to force the redirect so they can un-cache the cookie. I hope that makes sense.

    Please advise if there is any other things I can try. I have deleted and reinstalled the plug in as well.

    Hi– thanks for using Force Login!

    Make sure you’re not still logged-in when you test how the site behaves for visitors. Try using an incognito window or a different browser.

    Also, test for conflicts with your plugins and your theme. Deactivate all other plugins and switch to a Twenty-something theme; then see if Force Login works. If it does, activate each plugin one at a time until you can pinpoint which one is causing a conflict.

    Force Login does not set any cookies, it redirects visitors during the template_redirect hook on the server side.

    I recommend you hire a web developer to help you troubleshoot this.
