Force Local Pickup

    I have a few items in my “Storefront” theme that are too large to ship. I have successfully created a local pick up shipping class, but at checkout, it still shows the other shipping options along with the local pick up. Is there a way around that? I cant be the only one wanting to do this…or is it just so simple I havent found it yet. I’ve found some really nice plug-ins but they offer way more functionality than I need. I appreciate any and all help.

    Hi there!

    You could create a separate Shipping Class for all “other” products and assign it whichever rate. Then, as long as you have the Calculation type set to charge per shipping class, you should only get Local Pickup price if that class is in the cart.

    Otherwise, I would recommend using a plugin like Advanced Shipping Packages or Conditional Shipping & Payments to exclude or hide certain shipping methods when Local Pickup is in the cart.
