    Hi,

As far as I understood, the theme evaluates three ways to display a post image in the front page view:
    1. If featured image is set in posting, display it
    2. If not 1: if text contains an image, display it
    3. If not 1 and 2: don’t display an image

I want to achieve, that only the featured image is displayed as posting background image on the front page (not an image inside the posting). If no featured image is set, don’t display an image.

I tried to modify the content.php but with no luck. Any ideas?

    All the best,

    Peter

Hi @peterlangheinrich – if I understand you correctly, there is a theme option that will accomplish what you’re after.

Go into the Customizer’s Theme Options panel and check the box next to: “If featured image isn’t set, display colored block on blog page.”

Let me know how it goes.

Don’t edit the theme files directly, otherwise your changes will be overwritten every time the theme is updated.

That does exactly what I want. Thanks for the hint – I somehow overlooked it.

I created a custom theme based on Cubic theme and did my modifications there.
