    Hey, dear support team!

I have (like several others here) the problem that when I click the “Download” button, it sends me to the file URL (in same tab) rather than starting the download.

    What’s strange here:

    – Setting “Try to open in browser” is DISabled.
    – Problem happens with different browsers.

Is something blocking the download function (kind of CSS or so)? I can’t find the mistake. Link to page is attached – I’m very much looking forward to your solutions which I really appreciate!

    Have a great day!
    Dom

I have the same problem. I am trying to make a downloadable EXE (or ZIP) file, but the “download” link opens the whole file in the browser. This happens only when I click the link first time, the next time the browser saves the file as I wanted. After cleaning the browser’s cache everything repeats. Tried with Chrome, Firefox, Edge. Have no idea how to fix it.

Looks like this solution: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/php-error-log/ has worked for me!

@dom123, It looks like you are adding those files as URL, when you attach any file as URL, wpdm simply redirect to the URL when someone clicks on download. If you want to control open or download, you need to attached the files using server file browser and upload it using wpdm integrated unloader.

great, that was the solution ?? I didn’t know that there’s another path when I upload it through the Download Manager App directly! Thanks a lot.
