    Not sure if there is awareness of this or not already. But when using cleantalk, random people trying to register for memberships through WooCommerce are getting a Forbidden Message after the latest update of WooCommerce. I have confirmed this with others who are having the issue and also on CleanTalk and WooCommerce. I have disabled the plugin for now, but would be good to have a fix.

  • Update for my situation: I misread the initial directions and forgot to turn off cookies. It works just fine now, thank you.

    Thank you for your confirmation, @mstella.

    Having similar issue with customers reporting they can’t sign up to waitlist as a ***forbidden*** message appears. Have deactivated clean talk but when I go to advanced settings > set the option “Set cookies” to “off”. It won’t let me save changes so defaults back to “auto” anyone else having this problem?

    Hello @showersdirect.

    Please, re-install the CleanTalk Anti-Spam Plugin with the Complete Deactivation option:
    ? WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Advanced settings → set the option “Complete Deactivation” to “On” → Save Changes;
    ? WordPress Admin Page → Plugins → Installed plugins → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Deactivate and Delete.

    Then install it anew:

    Don’t forget to refresh your website cache after all these steps if you use any.

    Did it help?

    It’s really bizarre, I have reactivated the clean talk plugin went to advanced settings > ticked complete deactivation but again it will not let me save changes when I refresh the page and it just goes back to what it was. (I’ve also cleared the cache)

    I have deactivated it but it doesn’t give me the option to delete the plugin.

    Edit: Got it deleted, it was different as we have a multisite which means you have to deactivate it from both sites first then delete it from the network admin dashboard.

    Uploaded new version and it seems to be working now
