*** Forbidden *** error message getting triggered in Woo COmmerce due to CleanTa

Hello,

We have made some fixes.

Please, reinstall the plugin. ( Download link:https://github.com/CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam/releases/download/fix-version/cleantalk-spam-protect.zip )
Here is a guide for you:

1. Go to WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
2. Find the plugin “Anti-Spam by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
3. After the automatic page refreshing find the plugin again “Anti-Spam by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.
4. Download the plugin archive from the link above.
5. Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.
6. Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.

Then please do the following:
WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —> set the option “Set cookies” to “Off —> Save Changes.

Clear all cache on your site.

I would rather know that it works from reports from others than to test it and find out it doesn’t work. Please let me know when you have a fix that definitely works and I will reactivate the plugin.

Hello, having the same issue, multiple customers have reported seeing the forbidden error on the checkout page, and it is affecting the business, how can this be solved at the earliest?

For now I have followed the steps recommended above and I am waiting for the customer to retry checkout.

I have the same issue with my own customers and confirmed it was due to CleanTalk. I just followed the instructions from @amagsumov above, but the issue didn’t go away. I deactivated the plugin and won’t use it until a confirmed patch is officially released.

Can someone confirm which version of WooCommerce has the issue please?

I have a number of sites wanting to upgrade from 7.6.0 to 7.6.1 and won’t update if its 7.6.1 that has the issue.

We’re running CleanTalk on all our sites.

@barbeluk1 the issue shouldn’t depend on the WooCommerce version.

I had the same issue on my site, for now I’ve disabled the “woocommerce checkout form” in the clean talk setting on the website.

Now it is working
