Here’s how the story went. Imagine you are John and one day Steve Jobs announced a lifetime package for the next Apple OS which will also give you updates for all subsequent OSes. The deal seems too good to be true, and so you purchase an unlimited, lifetime license with lifetime updates for yourself.
8 months later, Steve Jobs passes away due to cancer, and Tim Cook takes over and buys majority share for himself. He then quietly disables your lifetime license and replaces it with a 1 year one. And you didn’t know better. There were no emails nor notifications nor anything.
At the end of one year, you try updating your OS and are told, “Sorry, you don’t get new updates because your license is lifetime without updates”. Perplexed, you check and find that no, you had purchase a lifetime license with lifetime updates! You then call the CS.
And the CS tells you, “Well, we have a new boss, so… no more updates. And it’s a different OS”
But didn’t you purchase a lifetime license with lifetime updates? ??
So you call the CS (customer support) yet again. And this time he says
“If it is such a big deal for you, we can change the name of the OS to solve this lifetime updates issue”
Do you think majority of Apple’s customers will sit still and say, “ok. Let’s move on with life”. Or would they then ask Apple to return them their lifetime licenses / take Apple to court?
Anyway, I don’t think I’ll do anything drastic other than doing a Paypal report. Becareful when dealing with gVectors.com ??
