It looks like only Admins can use this. I can’t get the Zephyr admin menu items to show up for Contributors, Authors, or other users. Am I doing something wrong, or is this by design?

I will mention that I saw the option to show Zephyr admin controls for a “minimum role,” but that does not appear to work at all. I disabled all other plugins. I also switched to default 2019 theme. Zephyr admin controls only show up for Admin. This appears to be a bug.

    Hi @jj9617,

Thanks for getting in touch and apologies for the delay in response.

The plugin is designed to show up for all users unless the access to this has been changed by an administrator using the option you mentioned, called ‘Lowest Level of Access to Zephyr Project Manager’ and can be found under Zephyr > Settings.
Could I kindly ask you to confirm what this option is currently set to?

Additionally, could I kindly ask if you are perhaps using any other role, or capability editing/managing plugins such as plugins that allow you to edit users permissions and roles, as this might be a conflict, and so that I can debug and provide you with a solution?

I am looking forward to your response and assisting you further.

    Thanks for your time.

    Kind regards,
    Dylan

Thanks for getting back to me. The “Lowest Level of Access to Zephyr Project Manager” is set to Contributor (it was set to Subscriber). Neither one let me view the Zephyr Project Manager as Contributor or Subscriber. I do have another plugin installed that edits user capabilities (User Role Editor), but I had disabled all plugins and changed theme to default while testing. I still cannot use Zephyr Project Manager as anyone but Admin. I’m really not sure how to troubleshoot at this point.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the response and confirmation and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Helping you get this resolved is really of utmost importance to me and I would like to help you get this resolved as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce this on my side to debug and fix, however, would you perhaps be open to creating a temporary account for me ([email protected]) so that I would be able to temporarily login and debug this issue closely to find a solution as soon as possible?

I am looking forward to your response and assisting you further.

    Thanks for your time.

    Kind regards,
    Dylan

I just added you as an administrator. I don’t see too many settings in your plugin for me to mess up. Basically, everyone is set to have access.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the response.

I was able to debug further and found the cause of the issue which was occurring on some installations.

It has now been resolved and should work correctly now. Could I kindly ask if you could please test it again to confirm?

Thanks for your time and patience.

    Kind regards,
    Dylan

I have confirmed that it is working for non-admins. Thank you! Can you tell me how you fixed it? I do pay for premium versions of plugins from time to time, and your price is very reasonable. I’m wondering if I install on another site if another client asks for such a program, what issue I might run into. Thanks again!
