Footnote showing in body of text not as tooltip

  • Just starting to use the plugin. With my first attempt, the footnote is showing in the body of the text and not as a tooltip. Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi @infmgt ,

    It doesn’t look like the CSS or JavaScript from the plugin is being output on that page. Could you check and see if footnotes work using a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Three? If they work using the default theme, there’s an issue with the theme on the site. My initial guess is that the theme is missing a call to wp_head() or wp_footer()

    Hi Sean,

    Thanks for the reply; you were absolutely on the money. The theme was missing the call to wp_head(). I’ve fixed it and now everything is fine.
