Footnote plug-in feedback

  • Just downloaded the footnote plug-in and have been trying it out. Overall a great plug-in.

    PROS
    + ability to customize footnote short code !
    + ability to select where the footnotes go

    CONS
    – the footnotes themselves are inserted into the text a little too high. Looks like it is going in to the space directly between lines. Should instead be about 3/4 of the way up the main text line.
    – the footnotes have a ” ) ” after the number. This is not used in the USA
    – when placing the footnotes at the bottom of the post, the default formatting there should be simplified in appearance. Should Just say “references” and then have a small line _________ and then the footnotes underneath. (Or all underneath the line). I don’t like the current boxes it comes with. too much of a visual distraction.

    – Optional: footnote text could be reduced in size to the next lowest level from that used in the main text.

    Thanks for feedback – it’s greatly appreciated.

    Do you have a link to where you’re using Footnotes and are experiencing the above issues? It would be great to see exactly, from your own example, what you’re seeing as sometimes output can be affected by individual themes, etc?
