Footer widget on home page

There is a widget on my home page footer that simply says “Home Page” and has a bank box at the bottom of the page. I’m not sure how it got there. I’ve looked through the Widgets section in Customize and can’t figure out how to delete it. Could you tell me how to get rid of it?
