• I wish to change the text shown in the footer where it states copyright and the site title. I tried to find the code to amend it in the child theme under files footer but my nerve failed me as that point. I would like to change the ‘permanent’ footer to
Copyright 2021 Jim Harrington, founder of Key HR Facts.

I have typed it is as a right side footer currently but would like to replace the theme centred footer with the above text. How do I do that without mucking up the footer code in the footer php file?

One other point, I should like to acknowedge Guido’s creation of the theme by placing text to that effect below the copyright change above. e.g.
Copyright 2021 Jim Harrington, founder of Key HR Facts.
    Theme ‘myknowledgebase’ by Guido

That is provided Guido is happy for that to appear in the footer.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Jim,

I’ve added a new footer setting in the Customizer a couple of months ago, that makes it possible to add a custom copyright that replaces the default one.

Please note that you must have a recent version of file footer (or no footer file) in your child theme, otherwise it won’t work.
