footer text and links distorted

Try adding this to the end of style.css:

p#copyright, p#copyright a {
   color: #47FF59;
   text-shadow: none;
}

Adjust the color as necessary to show up against your new background.

It looks to me like the footer links are transparent or in a color that just doesn’t jive well with your theme.

You might try looking through your Theme’s options – they may already include a way to specifically update the footer link’s font and colors.

The text has a drop shadow that causes a distorted appearance on some backgrounds.
