• Hello,

I am using the Footer Sidebar Widgets to show Contact information, Facebook link and search.

It works great with most browsers (Chrome, IE, Edge) but it’s not shown with Firefox (67.0.4).
Sometimes, the widgets show, but after refresh (CTRL-F5) the problem come back.

The developer edition of Firefox (69.0.1b) work normaly.

Is this a bug of browser or theme? Is there a workaround to this case?

    Thanks!
    Christian

Hello @cbovey! I have checked this footer sidebar with latest firefox and can’t find this problem. Maybe you can add a link to your website, to see the content and widgets you use?

This is a demo site for child theme of Meditation (I checked it here with chrome and firefox) – https://wpblogs.info/demo/liveportfolio/

    Hello,

Thank you to check the problem.

It’s also present with the demo site. You can see it on the following picture: https://imgur.com/a/kkZiwpu

I noticed that the problem is only present if window height is bigger than 1270 pixels and “Scale and Layout” is set to 125%.

The real site is visible on the first post (The page I need help with).

Hi @cbovey! I think this problem appears bc of scale 125%. If switch off animation in the footer then the footer should be constantly visible on the screen. I think in options there is the option “footer animation – none”. I can’t check it now bc don’t have big computer around.

To work with scale 125% in firefox javascript script for showing animation should be changed a bit.. (I think script calculate pisition of scrolling by taking some parameters and “scale 125%” somehow change it.)

@cbovey, I checked it with latest Firefox and scale 125% on the big screen and don’t see that footer sidebar is not appearing on the screen while scrolling to the bottom of page…

    Hi,

I tried again with Firefox updated. I still have the problem. I have recorder all the step, you can download them here: https://eir-romanel.ch/tempo/Test_Wordpress_Meditation.zip

    Step by step:
    – Start browser in full screen
    – Load the page: https://wp-themes.com/meditation/
    – Scroll to the bottom (Or press “END” key)
    – If the animation work, press CTRL+F5, and the animation fail.
    – If the animation doesn’t work, press F5 from the bottom of the page and it start.

I really sorry that I can’t find this issue. Do you have it with smaller screens? Or do you have it everytime you open browser or just sometimes?

    I have max screen size on the pc – 1600px x 1200px

I noticed that the problem is only present if window height is bigger than 1270 pixels and “Scale and Layout” is set to 125%

Probably I don’t see the bug bc of it.
