    Hi

I just noticed that my footer gets restricted on pages that I’ve activated member restriction for. How can this be avoided? My footer is a custom post type my theme creates, instead of the usual widget columns. In this cpt I do have the option to set these as restricted, but I have intentionally left my footer as NOT restricted.

    Any ideas?

Thank you for reaching out to us. I suspect this is related to your theme. But just to be on the safe side, can you carry out the following troubleshooting steps.

    Thank you.

But I have built the footer with a cpt that my theme provides. If I deactivate the plugins or theme, this will also disappear, and then the conflict test will be useless.

I do agree that this probably is related to my theme though. Would you say this is not something you are interested in having a closer look at?

Our plugin works as expected with WordPress default themes. If your issue is related to your theme, then I recommend that you to get in contact with your theme’s developers. See if they can assist you further.

    Kind regards.

Hi, I have started to dig deeper, and just ruled out conflict with the theme. The footer is working fine on my bare bones setup, with just the theme, the theme plugins, the simple membership plugins and the page a subdomain lite plugin. As you can se, the footer is working fine here, no “login message”, like on the site I am having trouble with.

https://kundzon.temp.sinkadus.com/ (footer is working fine on subdomain page, that I set to restricted)

https://temp.sinkadus.com/ (footer is working fine on ordinary page, that I set to restricted)

I also deactivated all other plugins on my main development site I am having problem with, thinking (and hoping) to find a plugin that was the problem – but no luck. The footer always displays the login message, as if it was set to be restricted.

Any ideas what the problem might be? Since it is not a conflict with the theme, or the page as subdomain lite plugin…

Hi, looking closely at the source code, there seems to be a login widget or login form in your footer. Is this correct?

Hi, no – just a sign up form for the newsletter. And after I – just now – removed it, problem is the same. (added it back after).

I activated all plugins on the test site, and set same settings for membership plugin, and still footer is fine there. So, very weird…

Site with problem on restricted page: https://kundzon.spike.sinkadus.com/dokument/

Test site with same theme, plugins and settings (no problem): https://kundzon.temp.sinkadus.com/

    Posted above just for clarification.

Unfortunately there is not much more I can do from my end because it does work on one of your sites but not the other. So there is some sort of configuration on that site that is causing this issue.

    Kind regards.

Yes indeed. A real head scratcher. I’ll just find a way to work around it, if I cant figure it out myself. Thanks for looking into the matter though!
