Footer not picking up CSS – please help!!

Hi,

I followed the following tutorial to put a nice grey footer on my site:

However, as you can see by the calendar (bottom right) on https://www.3d-mad.com/ it is not picking up the style.

I do not have much technical expetise so could someone please help me to fathom this out?
