I see a footer on that page. Maybe not the one you want, but there’s a footer.

Check your site to see if your theme uses a different footer template for the home page.

Sorry, I was testing something out. That footer is the theme footer, but I can’t find which file has the content to change the text. I would much rather have the tutorial footer which is listed on the other pages.

use the plugin “show current template” to see what template files are used to render the current page. Usually the footer is in footer.php in the theme.

The homepage isn’t showing ‘page.php’ which is where the footer is being called. What should I do?

Rachel, what template does the home page show is in use?

If the home page is set to display your latest posts under Settings → Reading, then I’d expect the plugin to report the template as being either index.php, home.php or front-page.php (not page.php); and so depending on which template is being reported, you’d want to look in that file to make sure it includes a call to the get_footer() function.
