    Hi,

This is a very strange problem. Certain posts and pages in my website have the following meta tag <meta property=”og:type” content=”article” />. It seems that I cannot change this setting either in EDIT PAGE/POST or the main SEARCH APPEARANCE settings in Yoast. The weird problem is that for every page that has this setting the footer font size is slightly increased in mobile view and does not obey CSS rules. For any page or post where the meta tag is <meta property=”og:type” content=”website” /> the footer shows normally. If I disable your plugin the footer text is shown correctly on all pages.

I have no idea what can be causing this anamoly and any idea on how I could change the content=”article” to content=”website” as this appears to solve the issue.

If you view the attached link in mobile view you will see the slightly increased font size when compared to the home page of the same website.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@confusedneedhelp We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

Regarding your issue, the <meta property=”og:type” content=”website” /> would only show for the homepage of the website. For all other page/post types with the exception of user profile pages, this would be output as <meta property=”og:type” content=”article” />. We have more information on this here.

As Yoast SEO, nor Open Graph metadata has any type of effect on the CSS of a page as it’s output is restricted to metadata, it’s unlikely the Yoast SEO plugin or the og:type setting is having any type of effect on your site’s footer. It’s more likely that whatever is affecting the footer is a plugin that is being utilized on all your site’s pages with the exception of the home page.

To try and ascertain which plugin is causing the issue, we’d recommend performing a conflict check. You can find a guide on how to perform a conflict check here.
