• Hi, I recently made a child theme using code from Themegrill’s provided ‘Colormag Child Theme ZIP’. It has a functions.php and style.css and the child theme works as it is supposed to.

But I wanted to make some changes in the child’s footer.php, so I duplicated the file under the parent theme’s inc/hooks/ and pasted in my child theme folder. I made the change within the footer.php in the child theme folder and saved, but when I refreshed my website to see the changes, the footer had vanished altogether.

    Kindly help.

    Thank you.
