• Hi,
Sometimes foot note number links are not incremented accordingly to the parsed text order of appearance: (2) is followed by (3), then (1) and (4).
The user is a little bit lost with this inconsistency.
It looks like the footnote creation date is playing a role in this.
Is there a simple way to fix it with the order of appearance of mapped items as only criteria?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I see that your page has many tabs, I couldn’t find the footnotes in the text, but I assume the order in which they are appearing is the order in which the page is being parsed. If you think it’s about the date, clearing the cache should fix the issue.

    Thanks for your answer.
I reduced the content as you can see now easily (under “Préambule”) the strange behavior of the foot notes numbering.
“photographie(1)” should have the number (2) as it is the second foot note link in the text. “voyance(2)” is the first note link and should be (1). “Rimbaud(3)” is the last, so (3) is correct.

“photographie(1)” is the latest created foot note so may be your plugin is considering latest database entries when it parses the text and doesn’t take in account their positions of appearance in the text?

I don’t use the foot notes internal caching system option.

    Thanks.
