  • Fooling around with the theme functions…

If that is the (only?) file you edited, cPanel’s File Mananger could be one way to replace it (functions.php) with an original copy. If that does not work, renaming your active theme’s folder name to break it should cause WordPress to active a default WordPress theme…and then you could delete and replace the broken one.

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error) < Idk if that helps maybe?

That is a server error caused by bad or corrupted code being called or sent, and you will have to fix the broken file via direct access at the server in order to get rid of that. Your database (pages and posts, etc.) is fine, and your /wp-content/ should also be fine. However, WordPress cannot display anything because your theme is broken.

Who or what is mywahosting.com? In any case, there is where you will need to access your installation and do what needs to be done.
