    Sometimes the galleries do not load correctly. Refreshing the page results in the galleries being loaded correctly. This phenomenon seems to happen when the page was not opened for a while, maybe 30 minutes. Just refreshing the page continuously will not result in this problem. This problem was reported by two visitors, but only the last few days I am seeing it a lot myself.

    I did the following test: Save the page with and without the problem. In the downloaded files I can see that foogallery.css is missing when the problem occurs. Firefox Console does not show errors.

    The four galleries are Justified, default sorting.

    Changes over the default settings:
    * Enabled: HTML Cache
    * Default Gallery Template: Justified Gallery
    * Default Gallery Settings: set
    * Enabled: Hide Gallery Template Help
    * Enabled: Hide Classic Editor Button
    * Default Retina Support: 2x
    * Disabled: Custom Ready Event (enabling does not solve the problem)
    * Enabled: Force HTTPS
    * Custom Stylesheet used (not using it does not solve the problem)

    Tried:
    * Clear HTML Cache
    * Clear CSS Cache

    A few days ago, I disabled the WP Caching plugin.

    Thanks.

    Maybe the issue does appear less, I am seeing it less, but it did happen. Maybe there have been visitors a short while before your visit that triggered the file to be loaded/cached, as described in the topic start. Sorry, this issue is very strange to debug.

    The ‘SSL Insecure Content Fixer’ plugin is now installed and active at the highest level, ‘Capture All’. At the lower levels I got the issue happening very quickly.

    ok @saturnusdj

    I am closing this ticket. The code used to enqueue the foogallery.css is standard WP code. And the path is built up using the WP function plugin_dir_url, so it must have cached the incorrect file path using an IP address at some point, due to the server config.

    Yet only the FooGallery CSS has the problem of not appearing. So not certain yet if it is not the problem.

    It probably only happened in FooGallery because we cache the css files, to ensure the css is correctly loaded in the head. But it would have only occurred due to the server config

    What does head mean in this context?

    (@bradvin)

    the head tag within the html

    After not running a caching plugin for a while, I tried a different caching plugin today: W3 Total Cache. It is quite aggressive in caching. After a while the galleries are broken all the time, on refreshes too. Maybe this helps to debug?

    Could it be that the “The authorization header is missing.” in site health is related? Having tried a lot of the tips online, I could never get that one solved.

    I tried loading the site in chrome, then in incognito, and then in another browser. All loaded fine, and fine after a few refreshes.

    Yeah same. It probably depends on if the cache cycle (every 30 minutes) is a bad one. Plus after every site update there is a chance.

    Looks like starting from scratch is the only way to go then.

    Yesterday I reinstalled the site from scratch. Beforehand I did configuration by opening it on the ip address because the domain name was not transferred yet. This time I opened and configured it on the domain name plus HTTPS. Not sure if that was the problem of course but it could make sense. Technically the issue in this topic is not fixed, but worked around, thus the “resolved” status being nonrepresentative, despite also being unsure if this has todo with FooGallery. It works now, hope it stays like that.
