Hi, I created galleries with Foogallery hoping to connect with the Apple Music player. I noticed Foobox tonight and installed it, and selected it for my gallery.

Each image is an album cover with a custom link leading to Apple Music page for each album. Additionally, I added the “embed” code (iframe) in the Custom Class field.

I was hoping to see Foobox display that music player embedded in the lightbox. What am I doing wrong?

Should I not select custom link for the Thumbnail Link? Selecting Full Size Image does open a full size image, but no music player. How could I make this work?

Please use the first album cover ARC OF VISIBILITY.

I also created a post with all the embed codes showing each musiuc player I would like to show in the pop-up once the cover is clicked. Here:

    Thanks!

    Andre

    Hi @styzer

I have had a look at the page and had a look at the album cover you are referring to which is within the section shown in this image: https://prnt.sc/ySSxqCq5gZvX

On having a closer look at those sections, I realized that those are actually iframes hosted by Apple (Music) that have been embedded to your page by you or your developer.

Unfortunately, because of this, it is not possible to have the album cover, or any part of that embedded section, be opened in FooBox, or any other lightbox for that matter. This is because as all of this section is part of the embed, inside an iframe hosted on a different website, the FooBox JS is not allowed to interact and has no access to anything inside the embed.

    Hope this clarifies your question.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.

    Hi thanks for replying.

That page you accessed is just there to test the iFrames from Apple Music, and as you can see – they work.

The page I need to embed these iframes on, is this one.

    https://richardsouthermusic.com/richardsouther-albums/

When I click on the cover (use the one shown here), I do get a larger image. Which is great. So this works.

    https://ibb.co/Kbs4h2J

Yet, seemingly it’s not working for iframes? But that is why I purchased the PRO version, because it is advertised as showing iFrames.

QUOTE: “But FooBox has other uses as well. With FooBox Pro, you can add HTML to your new lightbox. This allows you to open Youtube and Vimeo videos, galleries, forms, iFrames, and more, all in FooBox.”

    Source: https://fooplugins.com/foobox/#features

I hope this helps focus your support to me on what is the best way for me to make it work.

Are you saying that ONLY Apple Music iFrames cannot be used? Or that iFrames in general cannot be used? What is so different from Apple and all other iFrames? If they show on my page, should they not show in the Foobox?

If Foobox works for iFrames, it would be good to see iFrames DEMOS, not just a statement that it “can.”

And if we can’t actually use iFrames, I’d want a refund for the PRO version I just bought.

    Many thanks!

This is NOT RESOLVED, unfortunately. Support is responsive, but I received a screen capture video showing it works on your end, but I cannot reproduce what you show. I have responded with my own screen capture, as there are many settings you did not clarify. For example:

? Do I need ALL – Foo Gallery AND Foobox AND the FooBox Image Lightbox (Premium)??

Also, the plugins, despite buying the Premium version, many of the settings offer upgrades to Pro version and it VERY confusing.

    I’m losing my mind…

UPDATE: the error was on my end, I had used quotes that were from my French keyboard and for some reason the quotes were then doubled. Unfortunately I didn’t check that closely at the time. Of course it was not going to work!

Thanks for the help, support was great!
