I’ve been trying to get my google fonts locally hosted, thought i figured it out. Webspeed was super snappy. However my colleuge told me it was super slow. And the fonts didn’t load until after timeout (fallbacks).

On my pc it’s still displaying beautifully, unless i use a private window in chrome, where it displays the same behavior.

My settings are sett to swap, and i feel it’s wierd it times out like it does. Could you have a look and give me some pointers?

My site is at: https://www.lustfull.se (NSFW warning: sex toys)

Just wanted to update, i solved this issue by renaming the storage folder for fonts to “cache/google-fonts”

Somehow my old stylesheet made references to weights and styles which i had removed already (even though i regenerated the stylesheet), swapping folders made a clean stylesheet and all is good now.

Sorry about my shitty english, just wanted to update here if anyone was experiencing the same problem.

    Hi @captainhavok,

I have no idea what might be causing the issue you’re referring to.

I’ve looked at your site myself (in a private window) and it is loading fine, I barely notice the switch of the fonts. I’ve ran it through Pingdom and all fonts are loaded just fine: https://tools.pingdom.com/#5ad450ea93000000

It seems it’s working as it should. I haven’t noticed any time outs as well. How have you detected the timeouts?

Ah, that explains it all! Thanks for the update!

No worries! Thanks for speeding up my load times ?? the difference really is sort of ridiculous. Also no anoying font swaps on load just feels more quality.

    Kind regards,
    Martin
