Hello,

I tried this plugin and it looks promising. I’m using Elementor for page building and applied default font weights. After creating a css from the downloaded font it seems that the font weights aren’t applied correctly. I noticed that the default weights are 100, 300, 700 and 900 which are detected and cached, although I’m using 400 on all of my pages. I don’t seem a manual way to add this to the ones getting cached. Any ideas how to sort this out?

Is OMGF detecting the Lato font?

If so, this is the way it’s added to your page:

As you can see, it’s basically requesting every style and weight. Could you send a screenshot what OMGF is detecting?

400 pops up for a second but then gets removed from the list.

Really? That’s strange. Maybe Lato is requested twice and 400 isn’t included in the 2nd request?

You can always add Lato to the list (again) by using manual search. That’ll allow you to add the 400 to the list.

Thanks a lot for the tip. I didn’t find a way to manually add fonts after using the auto-detect feature, but if I skipped that and added Lato to a clean state it captured all weights correctly.

I have the same problem but with Roboto. Everything is fetched other than weight 600. I try to find manual search option as well, but no success.

Daan, can you tell where is it and how to use it? Thanks

ps. I just found google-fonts not have weight 600 for this font, weird.

If you don’t do the auto-detect thing you have the option to add any fonts manually. Once you auto-detected you’ll need to clean the data and revisit the settings panel to be able to add fonts manually.

Btw this worked great for some time but then it started to behave strange, and displayed fonts not in their original weights. It’s a great idea but I think there are still some issues here and there. Is there anything I can help to debug the issue and possible fix it?

You can use the search bar to search for any font you like. I’ve tested it also after using the auto detect feature. But if you can tell me which steps to follow that produces bugs I’d happy to fix them!
