Font size won’t change for mobile/responsive modes- OceanWP theme

quick fyi’s,
1. your plug in called nav menu add on for elementor is tragically broken. You need to find another menu plug in.
2. Your landing page looks like it is loading a slider but your page height appears to be fixed so it does not adapt to the screen height.

The technical answer to you font’s not scaling is due to your theme choice it is Mobile responsive. NOT device responsive. Mobile is anything less then < 768 css 3 pixels at 96 DPI. Modern Devices are HD and have something called View ports. IE your IPad is reported at 1024×768 view port which the site looks terrible in because the theme you chose does not support HD devices and does not have the required media breaks. Elementor supports Device Responsive to include the HD devices, but your theme does not.

The fix, mod your theme ( php/CSS3 knowledge required) or choose a device responsive theme.

@jeremiah01292 it is tragic to read your words as they are innexacts and proves your lack of knowledge of the topics (see other interventions on your part). The OWP theme is responsive. The problem does not come from the theme that you do not seem to like.

There are options between Elementor and OWP that must be determined:
– OWP is master of typos and colors
– Elementor is master of typos and colors
@katmort What is the chosen option on your site?

Using OWP every day I do not have any concern for body settings, leading or spacing for titles or text in the 3 responsive variants, it works very well.

Do you use a cache on your site?
If yes, systematically empty your cache after setting otherwise you will not see the changes online.

NB: You should set the responsive menu breakpoint to 1280px in the OWP options in the customizer.

@jeremiah01292 1. I’m not using the nav menu plug in, menu is working fine for me and everything I’ve tested on.
2. I know this already, which is why I stated the site is still being worked on.
As @momo-fr stated, the theme is responsive, I don’t think that is the issue there.

@momo-fr thank you for stating all of that. As it turns out, the font actually was changing! For some reason, it’s not updating instantly as I’m editing in Elementor, but once I save and exit, it has changed. So although it’s annoying as I can’t actually see what I’m doing as I do it, it’s still working in the end. But thank you, I will definitely look into those suggestions as well anyway (though I do usually empty my cache). Cheers!

The world is full of way more devices then 3 sizes, I am a believer in something called Device Responsive Design and I discourage the use of Mobile responsive( 3 sizes ).

I guess the issue is I never created an industry standard for the term. I will now.

Actually we do not know the context PHP / server, to work with Elementor / OWP PHP7 mini and PHP7.2 at best with 256MB of PHP mini memory and 512MB at best.

@momo-fr Most of the shared hosting providers do not allow one to edit the php.ini to set it. You pretty much have to be on a VPS or higher to have that kind of access. You run some really good hardware on your stuff so you have that access that most do not.

Default shared hosting is set at 128M in the PHP ini which then is overwriteable by wp-config but most hosts do not allow wp-config to overwrite it so not naming names but hosts that rhyme with “gator” and of the very budget ones would not allow a customer to ever use more ram then 128M per sold container for PHP .

But I assume you already know all this and that is why you run the hardware you run.

You are right but in France we have the host O2Switch which offers an unlimited offer for 6€/mo with setting of the PHP version and embedded options, at OVH the transition to 256MB is possible on the shared. It is true that in the United States you do not have very extensive offers for low prices.
