• I had my blog running fine with the Sirup theme, thanks for a great theme.

When I downloaded the theme, in the options page I had adjusted the overall font size to 70 and the overall line height to 16px. Recently, as I felt the font size was too small, I adjusted the overall font size to 80 and thats when everything went wrong…I think the font size went back to the default size which is relatively big and no matter what values I input now, either back to the default 100 or even to 50, the font size now remains unchanged! I tried refreshing the screen as well but it does not work.

What happened? Hope some expert here can help. Just want to get the right font size back….

    Many Thanks!

  • ARe you editing the Style.css? OR somewhere else? And have you checked whether the font size is specified in the php files?

No, I have not edited the style.css or any of the php files. I’ve just adjusted the Sirups options page under ‘overall font size’.

Do I need to check the style.css or php files? Which one is it and can you provide the relevant code? I’m not knowledgeable about the codes and stuff.

    Thanks a million!

OH. Sirup is one of those that has an options page I think. This might be more a question for the theme author. Most themes you edit the style.css but some have an options page. Best I could tell you is to check the Style.css in the Theme directory. Otherwise you would need to contact the author.

    Hi,

You can customize style of your theme and blog from the style.css file of the theme folder from where you can specify fonts, color, height, width, border, padding etc..,so set the font style from style.css

    Thanks,

    Thanks webjunk and Shane G.

Yes Sirups does have an options page. which is why I am puzzled as wouldnt it be easier to edit from the options page? I would imagine that to be the case, but I’ve not been able to do so. The change seem to be irreversible, unless editing the style.css is like a manual override function kind of thing.

    Thanks again! i’ll update soon….

I don’t know Stirups specifically. WHen they have the Optyions page sometimes its just writing back to the Style.css but sometimes its elswhere. You have to check with the author or their website.
You can edit the Style.css anyway but be aware sometimes you are putting things in more than one place and makes it hard to keep track.

I don’t know what I did but on my blog and in my backend the font has gotten dramatically smaller. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what I did wrong. I thought that it might have something to do with the trackpad on my macpro but I can’t figure it out. I don’t think people are having problems seeing the site, it’s just me.
