• Hi,

I am a WordPress begineer and am having a problem with font colors or other settings (e.g. underline) not showing up on the actual page once it’s published.

It shows up fine in the editor view, but not on the page itself (preview or live).

I would assume that this is just the theme (and stylesheet) overriding what I set, but it did work on a few lines earlier today (I made some lines blue to make them stand out). This inconsistency is troubling to me.

I looked at the HTML in the editor and the page source (on a live page), and it has a color code, but it doesn’t show up when the page is viewed. (i.e. {h2}{span style=”color: #3399ff;”}{strong}WHY?{/strong}{/span}{/h2})

    I guess my questions are:

    1. Will a theme override even basic font settings like color and/or bold?
    2. Why would I sometimes be able to do this, and not other times, on the very same page?
    3. Is there a way to override a stylesheet/theme on one page, so that I can create custom colors?

FWIW, I am using the Envisioned 1.2 Theme by Elegant Themes.

I appreciate any help; as I said I am just getting started with WP.

    Thanks,

    Luke
