• Has anyone found a plugin or any other way to preview fonts in WordPress?

    Ideally you would:

    1) Enter text in a text box.
    2) Pick a font from a drop-down.
    3) View the resulting font on screen.

I have seen this on a commercial website. Its beyond my ability to do this though.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Gary,
try my free “Font” plugin. It does way more than you ask for, and I hope you’ll like it!

    Hello Pawel,

Thank you for the response. If I understand, your plugin is for changing text permanently on the site or posts. While this is cool, its not what I need. Let me try to be clearer.

I have a product personalization page for an eCommerce site.
The customer needs to be able to type a line of text and have it superimposed on the product they are looking to buy, and be able to “try out” different fonts. The changes they make will not be a change to element of the site, just a preview of what they are buying.

I should have probably been clear about this at the start, sorry.

Have you got anything like that?

    Thanks again.

Gary, did you find it? I need exactly the same.

I need the same too ; it seems that pixelperfect is used as an overlay. Or maybe using svg fonts could help getting a vectorized image of the text…

Finally I hired a programmer and hard coded it, you can see it here https://es-mio.com/producto/colegio/

Sorry is in spanish, If you press tab number 2 “Elije el tipo de letra” (or choose font) you will see how the text below changes…
