Font Issues & Header Question

I have two problems and I’m hoping that someone can point me in the right direction.

I’ve done a good bit of modifying but I’m a little lost on two major points (actaully, there are a number of things I need to change on the site but these are the two primary ones.)

#1 I’ve successfully changed my themes fonts to League Gothic but need to replace the font in the post body, etc. to something that is “better on the eyes” to read – and I was thinking Helvetica? But I can’t seem to change that without changing ALL the fonts in the theme. Ideas?

#2 I have an area just under the main banner / nav bar that I would like to turn into a space for buttons to link to subscribe (rss, email, etc.), facebook like, twitter, login, etc. BUT I AM COMPLETELY lost on that.

There are a number of other changes I’m trying to make (like making the widget color bars (headers) smaller AND a fix for a weird text issue when the homepage slider loads.

#1 / #2 are my two main problems!!!
