    Hello – I love this plug-in, it’s a great tool thanks!

    One question, how can I change the font formatting of the titles? When I add one of the shortcodes to add a list to my pages, the listing comes up with HUGE headings, then a lot of empty space, then “genre” and “subjects” below. I would like it to display in a neat simple paragraph text format so the list looks clear and people can get an overview. Like such:
    Title/by author
    Title/by author
    Title/by author

    With these huge headers I can only display 1 title at a time becuase it take up so much space….

    thanks!!!

    I would need to see your site to know what it’s doing but I suspect it’s the way your theme is styling the heading tags. If that’s the case, the best option would be to use My Custom CSS or the CSS editor in Jetpack to create some custom CSS rules for the Book Review posts. Can you provide a link to your site so I can see what it’s doing?

    Hey, wow quick reply – thanks so much!

    I’m excited to get this library set up and working – it so cool!

    Here is a link to where I am trying to display the list (by title) I have included two examples to show that it does this wered spacing thing if there are i.e. genres, subjects etc selected or not & headings are huge!

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Sarah —

    Part of the problem is that your review is wrapped in <pre> tags. What this means (among other things) is that any spaces or line breaks are being seen as actual spaces and line breaks, rather than WordPress figuring out where the paragraph breaks should be. I can’t tell if this is something that is being added by the theme or if you accidentally hit something in the editor. I’d recommend selecting all the text on the page and click the Clear Formatting button in the visual editor (looks like an eraser) or else trash the page and start over.

    The headings for the books is actually the same size as your blog post titles which should be correct. However, if you want to make them smaller, using one of the plugins I mentioned above you could add this to your custom CSS:

    .book-review-wrapper h3 {
         font-size: 1.5em;
    }

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks for the help – the headers are now a good size but I haven’t been able to solve the strange line spacing. I have erased any possible formatting in the text and I also created a review without any text and it does the same thing – interestingly with exactly the same amount of space between header & “subject” “category” listing below.

    I have also noticed that in the backend where I can type up and edit the reviews there are very odd overlaps i.e. the Discussin, Reviews & Comment options are overlapping the Author field and it all looks messed up.

    Is it possible that there is some kind of bug or something and any tips on how to clear this?

    thanks so much!

    If there’s a bug, it’s most likely in the theme, and I’d suggest trying a different theme or contacting the theme author. They would know much better than I would what the theme was doing or why certain choices were made in how it was written. ??
