    Hi Anders

I have just changed my blog [ redundant link removed, just use the link field please ]to Chaplin. Very nice theme, thanks! Now I have two questions:

I’d like to test different fonts. But I can’t select them from the drop-down menu. I can only see the font I am currently using. The others, this long list, I can’t see. This was only the case with the first selection.

    Second question:

I’d like to place links in the captions to point directly to the source. But this does not seem to be possible. Is that so or am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks and greetings

    Dominik

Side note: while I do appreciate that machine translators are very valuable, please do not post that translator’s links on this site. That is considered to be link spam.

If that is a requirement for that translator then please consider replacing it with another one.

Sorry Jan, I know, but for this time I forgot. Just done it!

It’s all good, you’ve done nothing wrong. ?? I put that “Side note” as an attempt to educate users here.

    Hi @cannondale63,

You need to enter the full name of the font in the text field. The dropdown is intended more like a autocomplete function (although it’s a pretty obscure HTML element, so browsers render it a bit differently).

Adding links to captions shouldn’t be a problem. Which editor are you using – the block editor or the classic editor?

    Thanks, Anders!

    Adding links to captions:

I set the link (f.ex. for a pixabay-image) directly in the mediathek in the field “description” – and this doesn’t work. Then I see in thre frontend the HTML-Code.

@cannondale63 No problem! The field “Description” isn’t output as the caption – the “Caption” field is. Try entering it there and see if that works.

    Hi Anders

I can only set the caption in the media library. There are only two fields:

    Caption (german: Beschriftung)

    Description

I put the caption in the caption field, but this is what comes out:

    Link

    This is the featured picture.

I’m sorry to keep asking, but I am obviously doing something wrong…???

    Hi @cannondale63,

Oh, yeah, that’s a bug. I’ve included a fix in version 2.2.9, which should be live within an hour or two. After you’ve updated, the link should be displayed the properly. Let me know if it does the trick.
