Font display wrong size

  • I don’t know if this is a problem with WordPress, the theme I use (Weaver II), multiple browsers, or my OS (Linux Mint). Fonts on my site display about half the size they should.

    Open up any page on my site using Chrome or Firefox, right-click on a content paragraph and select “Inspect (Element)”. The computed font size shows just under 16 pts, which is supposed to see what I see, but on screen it appears as 8 pts. (I compared it to the same text shown in a word-processor on the same system).

    I don’t have control of the default content font size in CSS. No matter what size I use (whether points or percentage), it’s ignored. So I can’t compensate by doubling the font size.

    My browser font size is set to Medium (Chrome) and 16 pts (Firefox). Changing the browser font size makes no difference, but that is probably due to the CSS.

    If you go to my site, does it appear the same way to you? Why?
