    Hello,

I am having an issue and I am hoping someone can help me find a fix for it.

I have made a custom carousel using Elementor. The individual sections look like this: https://pasteboard.co/KqLqlsSHwoaW.png in both Elementor editor and live view. I have used the testimonial widget to paste shortcodes of these sections so I can view them as a carousel. When viewing the live home page where I am using this carousel, it looks like this https://pasteboard.co/NeRylFry9Rhg.png

As you can see, the font is all messed up. Is there any fix for this? Is there any way to force a specific font?

I have selected Poppins as the font everywhere. In Appearance > Customize > Typography, it’s Poppins. I have also checked in Elementor’s Site Settings > Global Fonts and Typography, it’s Poppins there as well.

Thanks a lot for your time.

    Hi, @zero479.

Thanks for reaching out to us.

It sounds like there may be a conflict or override happening that is preventing the Poppins font from displaying correctly. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and ensure the correct font displays:

    1. Clear Cache:
      • Clear your browser cache.
      • Clear any caching plugins you might be using in WordPress.
      • Ask you hosting provider to clear any server side cache, as that is the most persistent form.
    2. Check Custom CSS:
      • Ensure there are no custom CSS rules overriding the font settings.
    3. Elementor Settings:
      • Ensure that the specific widget or section within the carousel is set to use the global font. Sometimes, individual widgets might have their own typography settings that override global settings.
      • Edit the carousel in Elementor, select the Testimonial widget, and check its typography settings to ensure it’s set to Poppins.
    4. Font Loading Issues:
      • Ensure the Poppins font is loading correctly on your site. You can use browser developer tools (right-click on the page > Inspect > Network tab) to check if the font file is being loaded.
      • Check for any console errors (right-click on the page > Inspect > Console tab) that might indicate problems with loading the font, such as mixed content errors.
    5. Conflict with Other Plugins or Themes:
      • Temporarily deactivate other plugins to see if there’s a conflict causing the issue.
      • Switch to a default WordPress theme (e.g., Twenty Twenty-One) to see if the problem persists.
    6. Custom Code:
      • If you’ve added any custom code (in functions.php or through a custom plugin), ensure it’s not affecting font loading.

If none of the above helps, please provide the URL to the page.

    Kind Regards.
