    Hello,

I’m currently preparing a child theme of Tiny Framework. Now I wanted to use the class “icon-pdf” within text in a footer area widget. But it doesn’t display the correct symbol, only the code “f1c1” for the PDF icon.

The class works fine inside the “.content-area”, but when I add “.footer-widgets” or “.widget” or “.widget-text”, it simply doesn’t show the icon. The color, line height etc. is set.

What’s going wrong and how can I fix it?

I guess best way is to look at it in Firefox or other browser web developer tools with CTRL+SHIF+I.

    What is your site address?

I’ trying to figure out what happens using Firefox’s integrated web developer tool, but currently I’m stuck. The site isn’t finished yet, but you can find it here: bit.ly/1LEzd7g

What’s astonishing is that the classes “icon-pdf” etc. work just fine inside the div with the class “content-area”, so I added different class names to the child style.css to use it inside the footer area as well. I tried the ones mentioned in my first post and also “site-footer”, but none of the ones I tried worked.

Okay, I got it. I had to copy another part of the parent css to the child css and modify it to my needs. Thanks!
