Looks like disabling google fonts breaks font awesome too. I can’t find this font when I search ?? . Could you tell me how to get this font? It is needed by Photo gallery and social icon.
Thank you again. Great job. More privacy for users.

    Hi!

OMGF doesn’t do anything with FontAwesome, since it is not a Google Font. I.e. it’s very strange behavior that your FontAwesome icons disappear when you’ve disabled Google Fonts.

What theme are you using and what’s your site’s URL?

    Thank you for your answer.
    Here is a test page:

As you see the lightbox controls are gone. If I disable remove google fonts in OMGF I get Fontawesome back and controls show up.

Could you send me a link to the Photo Gallery plugin you’re using?

Well, I could’ve guessed that ?? I’m sorry, it’s such a generic name. I wasn’t sure if you were describing the plugin or actually stating its name.

    I’ll check this out soon.

    Hi guys,

I just wanted to let you know that this bug will be resolved in the next release. I tested the new version of OMGF with Photo Gallery and nothing breaks.

    I’m still researching FontAwesome integration.

@daanvandenbergh don’t get too fancy with it, as it’s just one thing. Simplest is to bundle it with the plugin, then provide an option to load it and get rid of external references to it.

Thanks, Daan! I’m looking forward to the OMGF plugin update. I have many sites running Elementor Pro with WP Astra Pro. Once I implemented the OMGF plugin to host Google fonts locally on six of those sites, all six Font Awesome icons now just show up as squares. Specifically, Scroll to Top icon on lower right of sites.

The sites have been upgraded to FontAwesome 5. Only change was adding the OMGF plugin to host Google fonts locally.

Thanks for being on top of this!

Until the plugin is updated, consider eliminating all the external calls to Google fonts from the site’s code, and then telling OMGF not to remove them, because there’s no need.

Basically, why add something and then remove it (imperfectly), if you can not add it in the first place?
