font and reference info

I have two issues with the plugin:
1. We had to use shortcodes to display the plugin, because we left all standard payments empty, and it displayed an empty dropdown box.
The shortcode statement is
[wp_paypal_payment_box_for_any_amount email=”[email protected]” description=”Karen Horney Clinic” other_amount=true reference=”Patient’s First and Last Name”]
But the font it displays the labels in is different than the rest of the page/site.
a. How do we set the font? or
b. Since the font worked when using the plugins parameters, how do we get it to suppress the standard payment dropdown, when all we want is “Other amount”?
2. Second issue: the client is very happy with the plugin except they are not receiving any email or notice as to the Reference entered (Patient’s First and Last Name
a. is there anyway to require they enter something in that field?
b. I’ve personally tested it and entered a name in the reference field that was different than the name on my PayPal account, and they received no indication of that info entered on the page.
