Follow icon settings disappear

Hi Christer,

Thanks for using WP Socializer.

It seems some UI issue which I need to look at. It was not reported earlier.

Can you please once again configure your follow icons and then go to WP Socializer -> Import/export and share the export data with me (like pastebin or some text sharing site) ?

Maybe this can help you:

I had initially defined 3 icons (FB, Insta and Mail).
What I tried now was to create just a FB icon and save. If I don’t leave the Follow-Icons page I can open the editor, save, re-open etc. and this works fine. If I now go to the Frontend of the site it is my original 3 icons that show up and if I go back to the Follow-Icons page on the backend I now see the 3 icons, but if I open the editor it comes up empty…

I was able to find the issue. Thanks for your input.

It looks like you were using ‘~’ sign in the URL for email. This seems to break the editor.

I need to handle this. I can fix this in the next version in couple of weeks. Meantime if possible you could avoid the “tilde” sign in the URL till fix is given.

Oh, ok. In fact my intention is to send unlogged visitors to the contact page when they click the email icon, and in my development environment I have a tilde in the URL… I’ll fix that and will get the update when its available. Thanks a lot for your quick reaction!

No problem ! This issue will be handled in the next version of the plugin.
