The plugin is in use on this website’s home page via the shortcode as below.

    [rotatingtweets screen_name='henleyherald' only_rts=1 tweet_count=5 rotation_type='carousel' carousel_count='2' links_in_new_window='1' show_tco_link='1' show_follow='1' no_show_count='1' show_meta_timestamp='0' show_meta_via='0' show_meta_screen_name='0' show_meta_prev_next='1']

The follow “button” is not displayed as a sky blue button with the Twitter logo like you have on your page here (e.g. as a btn class), but is shown only as a text link, namely “Follow @henleyherald”.

How do I get the sky blue “button” with the Twitter logo and above text in white to display?

    Is my shortcode wrong?

It’s working for me. Looks great!

Do you have Do Not Track switched on? The standard Twitter code (which displays the button) is switched off if DNT is enabled…

Otherwise, does the Console show some JavaScript crashing on your browser? This could have a simlar effect.

Martin, thank for your quick response. I do indeed have DNT plus all sorts of ad blockers active in Chrome, which is what I use to manage the site. Looking at the page in ‘vanilla’ Opera and Edge I can see the button is working. I’ll have to find a way to disable all that stuff in Chrome on a temporary basis when checking site/page functionality.

Just a follow-up thought – is there any way to have DNT enabled and see the button?

In theory, I could write my own button (probably not very hard to do…)!
