• I see that the plugin removes the “Show a ‘follow blog’ option in the comment form” tick box, which is something that is added by Jetpack.

Is there a way to prevent the plugin from removing this useful function for users?

It is good to have the function there in case a new user/guest would quickly like to subscribe to the blog as they are leaving a comment.

    Thanks

    Hi Jixxer,
You should deactivate Jetpack comment if you use wpDiscuz, those doesn’t work together.
Also could you please leave some example URL to allow us check it.

    Thanks.

To see an example, take your site, install Jetpack, disable your plugin, then to go Settings, Discussion, then go to the bottom of the Discussion settings page and tick on “Show a ‘follow blog’ option in the comment form”.

Then go to any page on your site where you have comments enabled and you will see the option to subscribe to the blog when you leave a comment.

This is a very useful feature of Jetpack. Since your plugin disables it I am thinking of removing your plugin and going back to normal comments and using Jetpack because it helps to get more blog subscribers. The power of suggestion to subscribe is very useful when they are typing a comment. Also, you can’t disable Jetpack anyway if you want to add this feature to your plugin because Jetpack is the service that handles subscriptions for your blog and sends out email, notifications to subscribers.

    Jixxer,
We only talking about disabling Jetpack Comments not whole Jetpack.
As far as we see this is a Jetpack comment component, that’s not a stand-alone function. you can’t have two different comment plugin on the same WordPress. if you disable Jetpack comments, this function goes way automatically. So wpDiscuz can’t display inactive features.
