Folders instead Categories

  • Hi Developer

    Is it possible to use your plugin to manage images in folders and not in categories? I have a directory structure which is always the same inside the parent directory. If i use the same name of the folder name i get an error.

    For instance:

    Track 1

      post
      page

    Track 2

      post
      page

    I want to use the name “post” and “page” in all directory structures.

    Hi Meggs,

    Thanks so much for your question. Naming it “Folders” instead of “Categories” is just semantics ??

    But you are totally right. Currently you category names must be unique. Which prevents you from creating the naming structure you’d like.

    This is actually something I want to change anyway when I introduce the “Duplicate Categories” feature. Which will allow you to duplicate a category and all its sub categories with one click. So you can setup a template structure and replicate it as you’d do on your computer ??

    I will leave this support thread open, and let you know once category names don’t have to be unique anymore.
