Folders disappeared

  • I had a bunch of folders created and uploaded files into them. Left alone for awhile and then went back to add something but all folders have disappeared. I did look at your troubleshooting and checked but didn’t find anything. I also did the instructions on resetting the data and it didn’t bring them back either. I know the data is still there however, because everything seems to be showing up on the site. Also, there are folders showing up, they are the ones that are in the regular media area. Just not the ones that I categorized.

    I assume you added the folders under the Uploads directory. If they were not hidden, hidden folders are ones that contain an empty file with the name ‘mlpp-hidden’; and they are not one of the folder names listed in the folders_to_hide.txt file, then usually they will show up.

    What are some of the names of the folders that are not visible?

    I’m sorry, but I don’t really understand. Yes they were uploaded and had just normal names like a person’s name for the folder. When I go under ‘display folder data’ under ‘medial library folder reset’ I see many of these. I don’t know if that will give you any information.

    You could copy and paste the information in the Display Folder Data page in an email and send it to support at maxfoundry.com.

    I received your folder data. I assume that none of your folders are showing up. Could you go to the Media Library Folders Support page on your site, to the System Info tab. There, highlight, copy and paste the information about your site and send it to support at maxfoundry.com. Then I can see how your site is configured.

    Also, you could include a screenshot of the Media Library Folders page?

    Do you recall if there were any recent update to your site before the folders disappeared?
