I have a problem, plugin does not work. Folder wp-content is not writable, and other folders that creates PeepSo. But the rules are 755, it’s enough for all similar plugins, such as Ultimate Member.
It is foolish and unsafe to claim rights to a folder wp-content and other 777. Please upgrade plugin, which will not need to go into your hosting and change the rights. In addition, it will be safe and secure.

    Hi Dyba03,

The PeepSo uploads directory is within wp-content/peepso This folder should be 755 by default and if the owner and group permissions are set correctly on your host there would be no changes required.

Peepso does not require the directory to be set to 777. This is completely unsafe.
Has this directory been created correctly during install and does it exist? If it was not created during install you will get this error.

Made just a clean install on a new site. After installation (i do not even activated yet) – PeepSo requires the /var/www/***/data/www/***.com/wp-content folder to be writable.
By default, the folder wp-content has the right to 755.
Other plugins (bbpress, buddypress, ultimate member and other) installed and working fine, no problems with the rights.

    Hi Dyba03,

I’m not sure what else i can suggest to you, we have hundreds of installs and a properly configured server will install and allow PeepSo to run fine.

Are you uploading the files via ftp / ssh or installing from wordpress admin?

I’m installing from wordpress admin and uploading the files via ftp – PeepSo requires the /var/www/***/data/www/***.com/wp-content folder to be writable.
Tried on different hosting – not installed. Configured hosting properly, otherwise the other plugins are not working correctly.
I’ll be waiting when you repair this bug ??

Hi, Our developers have re checked this and on all installations there is no need to re configure the hosting permissions. To investigate your specific issue we would need the site information. You can register and create a support ticket here https://www.peepso.com and we can take a look for you if you like.
