I am testing the plugin for use with WP multisite (network).

I enabled the option to allow site admins full access to settings.

There is the option: “Folders to Optimize“.

Will this allow site admins to add folders outside of their actual uploads directory? (…uploads/sites/XX/…)

If yes, is there a way to disable this?

Yes, I believe it would. The Folders to Optimize is limited to folders within ABSPATH (usually the WP root folder) or the result of wp_upload_dir(), which ought to be the specific upload folder for that sub-site.

Now, can you change that? While you can filter the return value of wp_upload_dir, that doesn’t bypass the ABSPATH “allowance” currently.

So, to make this better for multi-site, I’m going to see if I can restrict site-admins to the wp_upload_dir. Would that make sense?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, if site-admins could just be allowed to optimize files within their own upload directory, this would help a lot.

The changes were released in version 4.8, so thanks for confirming that ??
