using Media Library Folders, I found all folders (and their subfolders too) are displayed twice on “Folders & Files” menu (on the lefthand part of display).
On duplicated list of folders, the first link is pointing to some empty folder, while the second link is pointing to real existing folder (then I can see its content on righthand part of display)

I tried to find some similar support tips/topics and tried to apply some repair as following:
    – disabled Media Library Folders and activated Media Library Folders Reset
    – run Reset and disabled Media Library Folder Reset and reactivate Media Library Folders
while, at first activation, it looks that folders are listed uniquely, after refreshing list they are shown duplicated
    – I then run Better Search Replace plugin in order to normalize site links to media items (e.g. by replacing old https://www.mysitename.it with updated https://www.mysinetname.it links, etc.)
    – then re-run reset and refresh (as above) again with no positive result

note: by looking on Media Library Folder Reset “Folder URLs” menu, I found all duplicated URLs looks like “https://www.mysitename.it/wp-content/uploads/oads/2022/11” where folder named “oads” does not exist at all, and neither I know where is coming from but it looks last part of “uploads” string, but -of course- I do not have any idea how to fix it

Thanks in advance for any suggestion I can apply to solve this issue.

It would be helpful to see how your site is configured. Can you go to the Media Library Folders Support page on your site, to the System Info tab. There, highlight, copy and paste the information about your site into an email and site it to support at maxfoundry and mention ‘folder names are duplicated’ in the subject line.

You could also copy, paste and send the information from the Reset plugin’s Display Attachment URL’s page and Display Folders Data page.

I see from the files that you sent that when checking the names of files or folders, some URLs are not formed correctly, ‘uploads/oads/’. Thus the plugin is not find the proper file and folder records and duplicate folders are added. I’ll see if that fault is in the code otherwise it may be a problem with the file data.

I confirm, I found it too, I can only confirm that “oads” folder does not exist in the file system

I’ve sent you a file to test on your site.

Just to notify that it looks that latest version of Media Library Folders (version 8.0.6) doesn’t duplicate anymore folders when “Refresh Folders” icon is activated, previously -as reported- it happened that all folders, together with their subfolder, where listed twice just after every refresh, fortunatelly now everything looks fine.

    Thanks, Kind Regards,
