Focus Keyword not acknowledged

Client is using WPSEO Version 3.2.5 on WP 4.5.2 with Avada Theme version 4.0.2
I am not sure if this is a Bug or an enhancement request – once you have reviewed I will submit to Github as necessary.
This is a SW firm with trademarked term that contains a Back Slash in several of their product names, so they want to use it in their Key Word. (ris/pacs)
The plugin does not recognize it as keyword even though it’s clearly within the title and numerous locations within the content. In one test it stripped out the slash but were still experiencing issues. Is this something that might be addressed in a future update or perhaps is addressed handled differently in the Premium Version ? Client is willing to UG if this is something that is corrected for in the Premium version.
