Focus Keyword in truncated links inside WordPress

We’ve just pushed out an update that should fix this issue. Can you update to 4.0.9 and see if that resolves it?

I’m still getting “Focus Keyphrase not found in the URL.” even after updating, and clearing all caches, plus I tried viewing it on a different browser. My post today had the keyphrase “Great Blue Heron Resting” first thing in the title but the link was truncated inside the WordPress post page and I got that same message after updating.

@miamcp,

Can you try editing the focus keyphrase (click on the pencil) and then just click “enter” to save it again. Let me know if that triggers a change in the test.

Done, that message still shows. If I change that keyphrase to “Great Blue Heron” the message does not show, if I change it back to “Great Blue Heron Resting” it does.

We were able to reproduce this with the title you posted above and have an additional fix. This will be available in the next release. I’m not quite sure of the timeline for that, but if you want to get access to a beta build, feel free to reach out to aioseo.com/contact and reference the URL of this page. We can then send you a beta to try out and make sure it works as expected before our update.

I’m having this issue on 4.0.15. My slug is /loneliness-workshop and my focus keyphrase is loneliness workshop.

I see from this thread that the actual SEO won’t be affected so I’m happy with that anyway.
