    The focus keyword and content analysis for the Yoast plugin is not showing up on my WordPress site anymore.

    The only thing that has changed would be an update to the Yoast plugin itself – there have been no new plugins or massive theme changes in quite some time.

    I have performed a conflict test and found that nothing is causing this issue. All of the plugins turned off except Yoast still showed the same issue. I have also tried deactivating and deleting the plugin to reinstall/activate it, nothing changes.

    Curious how to go about correcting this problem and if the Yoast team has any recommendations for me?

  • Hi @zwingate!

    We would like some more information to assist us in troubleshooting.

    1. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.7? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    2. Can you take a screenshot of what the issue looks like? You can use a tool like: https://imgbb.com/ to share the image.

    3. If you check for JavaScript errors do any appear on that page in the backend? They would appear in red in the console. Can you describe them or take a screenshot? If you are not sure how to look for JavaScript errors please use this guide https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/.

    Hey @pcosta88

    1. I am using the latest version of WordPress, yes (version 5.7).

    2. Screenshot: https://ibb.co/g7whPFB

    3. The keyword issue is across all pages and posts. There is no red JavaScript errors, no. There are some highlighted yellow, but no red.

    Apologies for the late reply here as well! And thank you for responding ??

    Thanks for sharing the relevant screenshot here with us. The?focus keyphrases?and readability analysis can be disabled site-wide or per user. So let’s confirm it’s enabled for your site and for your user specifically:

    • SEO?→?Dashboard?→?Features: Are both keyword and readability features enabled?
    • Users?→?Your Profile: Are both SEO and readability Unchecked?

    We look forward to hearing from you.

    Hey @mazedulislamkhan

    – SEO > Dashboard > Features: https://ibb.co/YbRLKYV

    – Users > Your Profile: https://ibb.co/LrCtzQY

    Everything is set as it should to allow for the keyword and for the analysis. But neither options are showing and I’m at a loss.

    Hi @zwingate!

    We would like you to check two more places to see if they are also correct and also gather some other information.

    1. Can you confirm that the SEO and Readability are enabled on the posts? You can check by going to SEO->Search Appearance->Content Types and seeing that the Yoast SEO Meta box says “Show”?

    2. Can you confirm that if you go to the post/page and click on Screen Options (in the top right) that all the right options are enabled??If you are using the Gutenberg editor your will need to click on the dots in the corner and select options. See image:?https://pasteboard.co/I0PzCxd.png?which highlights how to check this.

    3. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    4. We had another recent release. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v16.0.2? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    @zwingate

    Thank you for that information! We have seen some cases where an admin user does not have access to certain features but everything appears to be set-up correctly.

    If they make a new admin user or login in under a different role the issue is surprisingly not there.

    Are you able to create an admin user or login under a different username/role and verify that the issue still happens?

    @pcosta88

    This issue went away when I created a new user.
    I’m not sure what the issue is with my current user.

    Moving forward I think I’ll just keep that user as is holding whatever glitch is happening and run my website through this new user.

    Hi @zwingate,

    Thanks for the update. It looks like you’ve found a solution, so we’ll mark this as resolved.

    You’re welcome to create a new forum topic if you have any other questions.
